Cutie Pie in the Press

Have yourself a Merry Christmas with Cutie Pie's DeLuxe Dickens necklace as as seen in Company.

"Treat yourself to a post - Christmas gift. I'm loving Cutie Pie for beautifully kitsch, vintage inspired jewellery. My fave? The silver typewriter charm necklace. Totally adorable. " as quoted by the style princess Jameela.

Make like Charles Dickens and ditch the technology in favour of this cute charm necklace. 3D sterling silver Typewriter charm, with movable parts. Adorned with fresh water pearls, all hand wired with sterling silver. Hung from a dainty 51cm sterling silver necklace.

Winter Wonderland

I awoke to a thick blanket of snow and no electricity this weekend. I found my garden had been  transformed into a winter wonderland.  Exciting nights have been spent curled up by the wood burner and candlelight cast a romantic glow over my poor cold house. I stumbled across these gorgeous wintry images to get you in the mood and maybe we will be in for a white Christmas after all this year..................... watch out for Jack Frost.

Afternoon Delights

As Oscar Wilde said in The Importance of Being Earnest, "I believe that it is customary in good society to take some light refreshment at five o'clock."

I couldn't agree more with you Oscar and after a spot of Christmas shopping what better way to finish the day with Afternoon Tea at Liberty's. Orange blossom and rose petal jam with hot buttery scones went down a treat and was the perfect end to my Christmas shopping.

Kate Wilson's illustrations for Liberty's menu's were so beautiful I had to take a wee picture of them. You can find more of her work over at http://cargocollective.com/littledoodles

Although its always a danger venturing into Liberty's as I undoubtedly always fall in love with something.....yesterday it was Rob Ryans tea towels, which I had to have. You see I believe in the Christmas shopping motto of one for you, one for me........

Candy Floss & Carousels

The Fairground LUXE Collection has been on sale for a couple of weeks now but I still wanted to share some of my inspiration with you……......

I’m particularly fond of this dreamy little pic little picture entitled"You lose what you do not hold" it makes my heart skip a beat.

Septembers Bliss photo's  also conjure up romantic images of Fairgrounds.

Roll Up, Roll Up. A day at the fun fair isn’t complete without munching on sticky Toffee Apples, whilst taking a ride on a Carousel Pony. But the Kissing Booth & the Freak show are not for the faint hearted. With Merry Go Rounds & Ghost Trains you are sure to always have fun at the fair. My personal favourite out of the Fairground LUXE Collection is the sweet little Carousel necklace and just because I am one the Popcorn Lover too. Depending on my mood they all taking pride of place around my neck & I love layering them up & dreaming of yesterdays spent on the Merry Go Rounds.

Until next time x

French Memories

The smell of warm croissants wafted across the little French market place, while I jostled with old French ladies to get a better look at the gorgeous French linens and vintage lace. I have overflowing boxes at home of scraps of antique fabric and silk scarves waiting to be transformed into something new. I wish I could wave my magic wand and magically produce all the beautiful cushions and throws I promised myself I would make. Instead I never seem to have the time but this doesn’t stop me from buying more. The faded linens and souvenir scarves are so hard to resist.

But today I have come in search of old trinkets and vintage charms. I love the anticipation of finding vintage treasures, as you just never know what you will go home with. I have a thing for pocket fobs at the mo and was over the moon when I stumbled across a box of vintage silver ones. They are set to be huge this coming winter, so get ahead of the fashion pack with one of my designs. I also found a lovely delicate lace butterfly and some gorgeous vintage crocheted lace.

There was the also the coolest old lady dressed in her finest fur coat browsing through antique gems, who I just had to take a picture of. I hope I will have one ounce of her confidence when I am old and grey!
All in all it was a very successful day, so look out for new designs soon to the Vintage Jewellery co.
